1. Member States shall assist each other for the purposes of carrying out controls and enforcement in relation to geographical indications protected under this Regulation. Administrative assistance may include, where appropriate and by agreement between the competent authorities concerned, participation by the competent authorities of a Member State in on-the-spot checks carried out by the competent authorities of another Member State. 2. In the event of a possible infringement of a geographical indication, a Member State shall take measures to facilitate the transmission from its law enforcement and judicial authorities to the competent authorities referred to in Article 50(1) of information on such possible infringement. |

The authorities in charge of the monitoring, as referred to in Article 54, in the Member States shall cooperate, as appropriate and in accordance with paragraph 1 of this Article, with other relevant authorities, departments, agencies and bodies, including police authorities, anti-counterfeiting agencies, customs authorities, intellectual property offices, market surveillance and consumer protection authorities and retail inspectors. 4. The Commission may adopt implementing acts specifying the nature and the type of the information to be exchanged and the methods for exchanging information for the purposes of controls under this Title. Those implementing acts shall be adopted in accordance with the examination procedure referred to in Article 68(2). |
