1. The registration of a traditional term the use of which would contravene Article 26 of Regulation (EU) 2024/1143 shall be rejected if the application for registration of the traditional term is submitted after the date of submission to the Commission of the application for the registration of the designation of origin or of the geographical indication. 2. The Commission shall, by means of implementing acts, declare invalid and remove from the register referred to in Article 25 of Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2019/34 () any traditional terms registered in breach of paragraph 1 of this Article. 3. Those implementing acts shall be adopted in accordance with the examination procedure referred to in Article 229(2). |
