Regulation (EU) 2015/2219 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 25 November 2015 on the European Union Agency for Law Enforcement Training (CEPOL) and replacing and repealing Council Decision 2005/681/JHA article 38 CELEX: 32015R2219 Transitional arrangements concerning the Executive Director and staff
1. The Director of CEPOL appointed on the basis of Article 11(1) of Decision 2005/681/JHA shall, for the remaining period of his or her term of office, be assigned the responsibilities of Executive Director, as provided for in Article 14 of this Regulation. The other conditions of his or her contract shall remain unchanged. If the term of office ends between 24 December 2015 and 1 July 2016, it shall be extended automatically until 1 July 2017. 2. If the Director of CEPOL, appointed on the basis of Article 11(1) of Decision 2005/681/JHA, is unwilling or unable to act in accordance with paragraph 1 of this Article, the Management Board shall designate an interim Executive Director to exercise the duties assigned to the Executive Director for a period not exceeding 18 months, pending the appointment provided for in Article 23(2) of this Regulation. 3. This Regulation shall not affect the rights and obligations of staff engaged under Decision 2005/681/JHA. Their employment contracts may be renewed under this Regulation in accordance with the Staff Regulations and the Conditions of Employment of Other Servants. |
