Support granted to achieve the specific objective referred to in Article 31 of this Regulation through the promotion of marine knowledge shall contribute to actions aiming to collect, manage, analyse, process and use data to improve the knowledge on the state of the marine environment, with a view to: (a) fulfilling monitoring and site designation and management requirements under Directives 92/43/EEC and 2009/147/EC; (b) supporting maritime spatial planning under Directive 2014/89/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council ; or
(c) increasing data quality and sharing through the European marine observation and data network (EMODnet). |
