Council Regulation (EEC) No 1536/92 of 9 June 1992 laying down common marketing standards for preserved tuna and bonito

1. This Regulation shall enter into force on the third day following its publication in the Official Journal of the European Communities. It shall apply from 1 January 1993.
2. Products in stock which were labelled before 1 January 1993 may be sold until their date of minimum durability stated on the packaging.
3. By way of derogation from Article 5 (2), preserved tuna or bonito for which the terms ‘tuna’ and ‘bonito’ are associated in the trade description may be marketed for a period of three years from the date of entry into force of this Regulation. This Regulation shall be binding in its entirety and directly applicable in all Member States. Done at Luxembourg, 9 June 1992.
