1. Payment of the sums due under Articles 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, 15 and 16 shall be made in, and in the currency of, the country where the public office holders carry out their duties or, at their request, in euros into a bank account in the Union.

2. Article 17(2) to (4) of Annex VII to the Staff Regulations shall apply mutatis mutandis to public office holders.

3. No weighting shall be applied to the sums due under Articles 10, 12, 14 and 18. These sums shall be paid to beneficiaries residing in the Union in euro, into a bank account in the Union. For beneficiaries residing outside the Union, pensions shall be paid, in euro, into a bank account in the Union or the country of residence. The pension may, by way of exception, be paid in a foreign currency in the country of residence of the pensioner, converted at the most up-to-date exchange rates used for the implementation of the general budget of the European Union.
