Public aid to vessel owners permanently withdrawing one or more vessels included in a Fleet Adaptation Scheme in order to build a new vessel of lesser fishing capacity and lesser energy consumption (hereinafter referred to as partial decommissioning) may be granted until 31 December 2010 according to the rules laid down in this Chapter, and provided that the Fleet Adaptation Scheme fulfils the following two requirements: (a) it includes vessels using one and the same fishing gear, and
(b) it includes vessels representing at least 70 % of the capacity of the fleet using that gear in the Member State. |
