LIST OF VALIDATED ALTERNATIVE METHODS TO ANIMAL TESTING This Annex lists the alternative methods validated by the European Centre on Validation of Alternative Methods (ECVAM) of the Joint Research Centre available to meet the requirements of this Regulation and which are not listed in Commission Regulation (EC) No 440/2008 of 30 May 2008 laying down test methods pursuant to Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 of the European Parliament and of the Council on the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH). As animal testing may not be replaced completely by an alternative method, it should be mentioned in Annex VIII whether the alternative method fully or partially replaces animal testing.
