Council Regulation (EU) 2019/1716 of 14 October 2019 concerning restrictive measures in view of the situation in Nicaragua article 2 CELEX: 02019R1716-20241010 1. All funds and economic resources belonging to, owned, held or controlled by any natural or legal person, entity or body as listed in Annex I shall be frozen. 2. No funds or economic resources shall be made available, directly or indirectly, to or for the benefit of natural or legal persons, entities or bodies listed in Annex I. 3. Annex I shall include natural or legal persons, entities and bodies which, in accordance with Articles 1(1) and 2(1) of Decision (CFSP) 2019/1720, have been identified by the Council as: (a) being responsible for serious human rights violations or abuses or for the repression of civil society and democratic opposition in Nicaragua; (b) undermining democracy and the rule of law in Nicaragua; (c) being associated with the natural or legal persons, entities or bodies referred to in points (a) and (b). |
