1. Actions implemented under the ‘participation of young people in solidarity activities’ strand shall, in particular, contribute to strengthening cohesion, solidarity, active citizenship and democracy within and outside the Union, while also responding to societal challenges with a particular focus on the promotion of social inclusion and equal opportunities. 2. The ‘participation of young people in solidarity activities’ strand shall support the following actions: (a) volunteering as set out in Article 7; (b) solidarity projects as set out in Article 8; (c) networking activities for individuals and organisations participating in this strand as set out in Article 5(1); (d) quality and support measures as set out in Article 5(2). |
