1. By 15 September of each year, Member States shall submit to the Commission a report, for the preceding calendar year, on their implementation of this Regulation, and any additional information as appropriate. 2. The annual report shall include information on the steps taken to mitigate by-catch and reduce discards of Mediterranean swordfish below the minimum conservation reference size, and on any relevant research in that field. 3. The Commission shall compile the information received pursuant to paragraphs 1 and 2, and shall forward it to the ICCAT Secretariat by 15 October of each year. 4. The Commission may adopt implementing acts as regards detailed requirements for the format of the annual report referred to in this Article. Those implementing acts shall be adopted in accordance with the examination procedure referred to in Article 36(2). |
