Member States with fishing vessels engaged in commercial fishing activities targeting blue crab shall establish an adequate scientific monitoring of blue crab catches in the Mediterranean Sea which facilitates the implementation of the regional research programme on the following: (1) deployed fishing effort and overall catch levels at the national level; and
(2) biological and socioeconomic effects of alternative management scenarios and technical measures, as identified by Member States. |
