1. The Management Board shall be composed of one member appointed by each Member State, and two members appointed by the Commission. All members shall have the right to vote. 2. Each member of the Management Board shall have an alternate. That alternate shall represent the member in the member’s absence. 3. Members of the Management Board and their alternates shall be appointed on the basis of their knowledge in the field of cybersecurity, taking into account their relevant managerial, administrative and budgetary skills. The Commission and the Member States shall make efforts to limit the turnover of their representatives on the Management Board, in order to ensure continuity of the Management Board’s work. The Commission and the Member States shall aim to achieve gender balance on the Management Board. 4. The term of office of the members of the Management Board and their alternates shall be four years. That term shall be renewable. |
