1. By 19 July 2007, Member States shall inform the Commission of existing national provisions on the mandatory addition of vitamins and minerals and of products covered by the derogation provided for in Article 4(b). 2. If a Member State, in the absence of Community provisions, considers it necessary to adopt new legislation: (a) on the mandatory addition of vitamins and minerals to specified foods or categories of foods; or (b) on the prohibition or restriction on the use of certain other substances in the manufacture of specified foods, it shall notify the Commission in accordance with the procedure laid down in Article 12. |
