Regulation (EU) 2023/2411 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 18 October 2023 on the protection of geographical indications for craft and industrial products and amending Regulations (EU) 2017/1001 and (EU) 2019/1753 (Text with EEA relevance) article 3 CELEX: 32023R2411 Scope
1. This Regulation applies to craft and industrial products. 2. This Regulation does not apply to agricultural products or foodstuffs as referred to in Regulation (EU) No 1151/2012, to wines as referred to in Regulation (EU) No 1308/2013 or to spirit drinks as referred to in Regulation (EU) 2019/787. 3. Registration and protection of geographical indications under this Regulation are without prejudice to the obligation of producers to comply with Union law, in particular relating to the placing of products on the market, product labelling, product safety, consumer protection and market surveillance. 4. Directive (EU) 2015/1535 of the European Parliament and of the Council does not apply to geographical indications protected under this Regulation. |
