1. Member States may participate in, or authorise their fishing vessels to participate in, longline exploratory fisheries for toothfish (Dissostichus spp.) in FAO subareas 48.6, 88.1 and 88.2 and FAO divisions 58.4.1, 58.4.2 and 58.4.3a outside areas of national jurisdiction for fishing in the period from 1 December 2025 to 30 November 2026, in accordance with Article 7(2) to (7) of Council Regulation (EC) No 601/2004 (). 2. By way of derogation from the deadlines set out in Article 7(5) and (6) of Regulation (EC) No 601/2004, Member States intending to participate in, or authorise their fishing vessels to participate in, exploratory fisheries as referred to in paragraph 1 of this Article shall notify the CCAMLR Secretariat no later than 1 June 2025. |
