Council Regulation (EC) No 2027/2006 of 19 December 2006 on the conclusion of the Fisheries partnership agreement between the European Community and the Republic of Cape Verde article 4 CELEX: 32006R2027 Scientific cooperation
1. During the period covered by this Agreement, the Community and Cape Verde shall monitor the evolution of resources in the Cape Verde fishing zone. 2. The two parties, based on the recommendations and resolutions adopted within the International Commission for the Conservation of Atlantic Tunas (ICCAT) and the best available scientific advice, shall consult each other within the Joint Committee provided for in Article 9 or, where appropriate, within a scientific meeting. Cape Verde may, in agreement with the Community, take measures to ensure the sustainable management of fisheries resources. 3. The parties shall undertake to consult one other, either directly or within the competent international organisations, to ensure the management and conservation of living resources in the Atlantic Ocean, and to cooperate in relevant scientific research. |
