Entry into force and application This Regulation shall enter into force on the date of its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union. It shall apply from 1 January 2024 to 31 December 2024. However:

(a) Article 13(1) and (7) shall apply from 1 January 2024 to 31 March 2025;

(aa) Article 12a, point (a), shall apply from 1 July 2024 to 31 December 2024 or until the date on which a delegated act adopted in accordance with Article 15(2) of Regulation (EU) 2019/1241 and amending Annex VII, Part A, to that Regulation regarding the minimum conservation reference size for pollack in ICES divisions 8a, 8b, 8d and 8e becomes applicable, whichever is earlier;

(ab) Article 12a, point (b), shall apply from 1 October 2024 to 31 December 2024 or to the date on which a delegated act adopted in accordance with Article 15(2) of Regulation (EU) 2019/1241 and amending Annex VII, Part A, to that Regulation regarding the minimum conservation reference size for pollack in ICES division 8c, subareas 9 and 10 and Union waters of CECAF division 34.1.1 becomes applicable, whichever is earlier;

(b) Article 13(2) to (6) shall apply from 1 April 2024 to 31 March 2025;

(c) Articles 17 and 18 shall cease to apply on the date on which delegated acts introducing corresponding measures become applicable;

(ca) Article 20(1), point(ba) shall apply from 1 April 2024;

(d) Article 23 shall apply from 1 January 2024 to 31 January 2025;

(da) Article 23a shall apply from 1 January 2025 to 30 June 2025 or until the date on which a Commission Delegated Regulation amending Regulation (EU) 2019/833 concerning recovery measures for cod in NAFO divisions 2J3KL becomes applicable, whichever is earlier;

(e) Articles 30 and Annex VII shall apply from 1 December 2023 to 30 November 2024;

(f) Article 28(2) shall apply from 17 December 2023 to 31 December 2023;

(g) Article 35(1), point (a), shall apply from 1 January 2024 to 19 January 2025;

(ga) Article 55(1), point (aa) shall apply from 1 April 2024;

(gb) Section 11a shall apply from 1 June 2024 to 31 May 2025 or until the date on which a Regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council laying down measures applicable in the area covered by the Convention on the Conservation and Management of High Seas Fisheries Resources in the North Pacific Ocean becomes applicable, whichever is earlier;

(h) Article 56(2) shall apply from 1 January 2023;

(i) Annex I shall also apply for the year 2025 and 2026, where specified in that Annex;

(ia) In Annex IA, Part A, Tables 18 and 19, footnote 1 shall apply from 1 October 2024 to 31 December 2024;

(j) Annex IK shall apply from 1 December 2023 to 30 November 2024, where specified in that Annex;

(ja) Annexes IM and Xa shall apply from 1 June 2024 to 31 May 2025;

(k) Annex II shall apply from 1 February 2024 to 31 January 2025;

(l) the maximum size for picked dogfish (DGS/03A-C., DGS/2AC4-C and DGS/15X14) shall cease to apply on the date on which a delegated act introducing corresponding measures and regulating the treatment of catches of those stocks over 100 cm becomes applicable;

(m) catch and effort limits fixed by this Regulation for the year 2024 and, where specified in this Regulation, also for the years 2025 and 2026, shall continue to apply in 2025, and where relevant in 2026 and 2027, exclusively for the purposes of:

(i) exchanges pursuant to Article 16(8) of Regulation (EU) No 1380/2013;

(ii) deductions and reallocations pursuant to Article 37 of Regulation (EC) No 1224/2009;

(iii) quantities withheld in accordance with Article 4 of Regulation (EC) No 847/96 and Article 15(9) of Regulation (EU) No 1380/2013; and (iv) deductions pursuant to Articles 105, 106 and 107 of Regulation (EC) No 1224/2009.
