1. Without prejudice to Article 12(2) and Article 20(1), an application for registration of a geographical indication of a product originating in the Union shall be submitted to the competent authority of the Member State in which the product originates. 2. The application shall comprise: (a) the product specification referred to in Article 9; (b) the single document referred to in Article 10; and (c) the accompanying documentation referred to in Article 11. 3. The competent authority shall allow applicants to submit their applications electronically. |
