1. The Member States and the Commission shall ensure the integration of the gender perspective and that gender equality and gender mainstreaming are taken into account and promoted throughout the preparation, implementation, monitoring, reporting and evaluation of programmes and projects supported under the Fund. 2. The Member States and the Commission shall take appropriate steps to exclude any form of discrimination prohibited by Article 21 of the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union (the ‘Charter’) during the preparation, implementation, monitoring, reporting and evaluation of programmes and projects supported under the Fund. |
