Directive (EU) 2020/2184 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 16 December 2020 on the quality of water intended for human consumption (recast) (Text with EEA relevance) article 26 CELEX: 32020L2184 Repeal
1. Directive 98/83/EC, as amended by the acts listed in Part A of Annex VI, is repealed with effect from 13 January 2023, without prejudice to the obligations of the Member States relating to the time-limits for the transposition into national law of the Directives set out in Part B of Annex VI. References to the repealed Directive shall be construed as references to this Directive and shall be read in accordance with the correlation table in Annex VII. 2. Derogations granted by Member States in accordance with Article 9(1) of Directive 98/83/EC that are still applicable on 12 January 2023 shall remain applicable until the end of their duration. They may be renewed in accordance with Article 15 of this Directive only where a second derogation has not yet been granted. The right to ask the Commission for a third derogation in accordance with Article 9(2) of Directive 98/83/EC shall remain applicable for second derogations that are still applicable on 12 January 2021. |
