1. Member States shall ensure that the data elements listed in Section 2, Parts I to III and V, of the Annex, where available in their national vehicle registers, are up to date. 2. Member States shall, for the purposes of this Directive, retain the data elements listed in Section 2, Parts V and VI, of the Annex, where available, in the national vehicle register for at least 12 months after any modification of the holder, owner or end user of the vehicle, and no longer as necessary, as defined in the law of the Member States. |
