1. The operator of each facility subject to the reporting requirements set out in Article 5 shall assure the quality of the information that they report. 2. The competent authorities shall assess the quality of the data provided by the operators of the facilities referred to in paragraph 1, in particular as to their completeness, consistency and credibility. 3. The Commission shall coordinate work on quality assurance and quality assessment in consultation with the Committee referred to in Article 19(1). 4. The Commission may adopt guidelines for the monitoring and reporting of emissions in accordance with the procedure referred to in Article 19(2). These guidelines shall be in accordance with internationally approved methodologies, where appropriate, and shall be consistent with other Community legislation. |
