1. When an insured person or a member of his/her family dies in a Member State other than the competent Member State, the death shall be deemed to have occurred in the competent Member State. 2. The competent institution shall be obliged to provide death grants payable under the legislation it applies, even if the person entitled resides in a Member State other than the competent Member State. 3. Paragraphs 1 and 2 shall also apply when the death is the result of an accident at work or an occupational disease. |
