Regulation (EU) 2016/399 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 9 March 2016 on a Union Code on the rules governing the movement of persons across borders (Schengen Borders Code) (codification) article 20 CELEX: 02016R0399-20240710 Specific rules for checks on certain categories of persons
1. The specific rules set out in Annex VII shall apply to checks on the following categories of persons: (a) Heads of State, Heads of Government and members of national government with accompanying spouses, and members of their official delegation, and sovereigns and other senior members of a royal family; (b) pilots of aircraft and other crew members; (c) seamen; (d) holders of diplomatic, official or service passports and members of international organisations; (e) cross-border workers; (f) minors; (g) rescue services, police and fire brigades and border guards; (h) offshore workers.
Those specific rules may contain derogations from Articles 5 and 6 and Articles 8 to 14. 2. Member States shall notify to the Commission the model cards issued by their Ministries of Foreign Affairs to accredited members of diplomatic missions and consular representations and members of their families in accordance with Article 39. |
