1. When a Member State rejects an application for a permit or certificate in a case of significance in respect of the objectives of this Regulation, it shall immediately inform the Commission of the rejection and of the reasons for rejection. 2. The Commission shall communicate information received in accordance with paragraph 1 to the other Member States in order to ensure uniform application of this Regulation. 3. When an application is made for a permit or certificate relating to specimens for which such an application has previously been rejected, the applicant must inform the competent authority to which the application is submitted of the previous rejection. |

(a) Member States shall recognize the rejection of applications by the competent authorities of the other Member States, where such rejection is based on the provisions of this Regulation. (b) However, this need not apply where the circumstances have significantly changed or where new evidence to support an application has become available. In such cases, if a management authority issues a permit or certificate, it shall inform the Commission thereof, stating the reasons for issuance. |
