Regulation (EU) 2024/1991 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 24 June 2024 on nature restoration and amending Regulation (EU) 2022/869 (Text with EEA relevance) article 2 CELEX: 32024R1991 Geographical scope
This Regulation applies to ecosystems as referred to in Articles 4 to 12: (a) in the territory of the Member States; (b) in the coastal waters, as defined in Article 2, point (7), of Directive 2000/60/EC, of the Member States, their seabed or their subsoil; (c) in waters, the seabed or subsoil on the seaward side of the baseline from which the extent of the territorial waters of a Member State is measured, extending to the outmost reach of the area where a Member State has or exercises sovereign rights or jurisdiction, in accordance with the 1982 United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea .
This Regulation applies only to ecosystems in the European territory of the Member States to which the Treaties apply. |
