Directive 2007/46/EC is hereby amended as follows:
1. Part I of Annex IV shall be amended as follows: (a) the table shall be amended as follows: (i) points 40 and 41 shall be deleted; (ii) the following point shall be inserted: (iii) the following note shall be added: ‘(12) For vehicles with a reference mass exceeding 2 610 kg which are not type-approved (at the manufacturer’s request and provided their reference mass does not exceed 2 840 kg) under Regulation (EC) No 715/2007.’; (b) in the Appendix, the table shall be amended as follows: (i) points 40 and 41 shall be deleted; (ii) the following point shall be inserted:
