1. Member States shall take the necessary measures for an IMO audit of their administration in accordance with the cycle adopted by the IMO. Member States shall publish the outcome of the audit, in accordance with relevant national legislation on confidentiality. 2. In order to ensure the effective implementation of this Directive and to monitor the overall functioning of flag State compliance with the legal duties of the administrations pursuant to this Directive, the Commission shall collect the necessary information when carrying out visits to Member States. |
