1. Member States shall ensure that the exchanges of information pursuant to Articles 11 and 12 of this Directive take place in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/794 electronically through: (a) SIENA or its successor, in the language applicable to SIENA; or (b) where applicable, FIU.Net or its successor. 2. Member States shall ensure that the exchange of information under Article 12 is carried out in a timely manner and that in that regard the requests for information made by Europol are treated as if they originate from another FIU. |
