Trademark Fine Art Siberian Husky II Artwork by Dean Russo, 14 by 19-Inch. Art and animals. These two passions define Dean, a Brooklyn, New York-based artist who uses vibrant Pop Art colors and bold abstract patterns to give a voice to his favorite subject: animals. Dean grew up in a home filled with art supplies and from an early age began drawing cartoon characters, which became a great influence in his later work. After studying graphic design and fine arts at the School of Visual Arts and Pratt Institute, Dean began to paint primarily celebrity portraits, but his two Cocker Spaniels became his greatest inspiration. Dean's main subjects are dogs, with pit bulls representing the majority of his work. Dean hopes to convey the care and devotion of animal-lovers of every kind, from dogs and cats to horses and beyond. These posters got their start in the late 1800s when brands hired artists and illustrators to create their ads and announcements for various products such as chocolates, alcohol, soap, or cigarettes. This was the time when the development of mass printing emerged and this new technology allowed for low-cost reproductions with vibrant colors. These works on posters became more affordable than original art and grew in popularity. This new industry attracted many aspiring artists looking to generate revenue from their work. The commercial success of these posters began the trend of the vintage poster, which has continued into the 21st century. Giclee (jee-clay) is an advanced printmaking process for creating high quality fine art reproductions. The attainable excellence that Giclee printmaking affords makes the reproduction virtually indistinguishable from the original piece. The result is wide acceptance of Giclee by galleries, museums and private collectors. Gallery wrap is a method of stretching an artist's canvas so that the canvas wraps around the sides and is secured a hidden, wooden frame. This method of stretching and preparing a canvas allows for a frameless presentation of the finished painting.

Trademark Fine Art Maltese Puppy Portrait by Lois Bryan, 14x14. This ready to hang, gallery-wrapped art piece features a portrait of a fluffy white dog. Prominent colors: tan, grey, brown, white, black Lois Bryan describes herself as a two-year-old little kid, cleverly disguised as a 'woman of a certain age'…ordinary, garden-variety, happily-married photographer and digital art fanatic. Lois' images are based on the photographs she captures, mostly with her nikon D300. Although her primary goal will always be to catch that perfect shot straight out of the camera, she also enjoys tinkering around in Photoshop and other image editing programs. Lois does not have any one particular style and probably never will. She claims to be 'pretty much all over the place' with what catches her interest. Lois is still experimenting, still loving every minute behind the camera and still believing in magic. The Big Book on Fencing - by Rudy Volkmann. Magnum Libre d'Escrime You can’t learn to fence from a book, but you can learn significant things about fencing. Written for the average American fencer, this 271-page text has gotten must buy reviews from the British and Dutch fencing federations as well as by current president of the American Fencing Coaches Association (the USFA does not review fencing texts). Included are sections on history, pedagogy, tactics, directing, repair (Dr. Volkmann’s celebrated repair manual is one of the sections), and the plans for a fencing dummy. The main part of the text, though, is a highly illustrated encyclopedia of all the moves used in foil fencing, which includes the theories behind the moves and positions, and detailed explanations of what goes wrong when trying to learn them. Just the section on stance, advance, retreat, lunge, and recovery types take over thirty detailed pages.

Manual Inspirational Collection 26 X 36-Inch Wall Hanging and Finial Rod, Whisper Wings with Verse by Lena Liu,. Manual Woodworkers and Weavers brings you a fresh way to display your favorite images and showcase inspiring message with their collection of hanging wall art with included finial hanging rod. Although Thomas Lemuel Oates started Manual Woodworkers and Weavers in 1932, the story goes back further. The roots of the company can be found in Oates' entrepreneurial spirit. He and his brother used to farm the mountain areas of Bat Cave in western North Carolina. They would also help their mother find materials for her crafts. The sons began to make wooden whistles, buckets and bird-houses. They would sell their wares along with her crafts to the people from Charlotte that came through in their horse-drawn buggies on the way to the mountains. Later, Thomas worked at the Ashville Postcard Company. When the Depression hit, he lost his job, but it inspired him to go into business and sell crafts, like cornhusk dolls and woven pieces, that were produced by the local women. He had learned about the wholesale business while working at Ashville. He built a waterwheel to generate electricity at a mill, began making product and opened shop. Over the years, he expanded the company. His son, Lemuel Oates, who would next manage the company, says he worked in the business from a young age. He explains the products were made from cotton scraps left over from making socks. Half-inch circles would be looped together to form a variety of products. Lemuel Oates went to college and then settled in Richmond. In December 1973, he returned to Bat Cave and took over the company. In 2007 his son Travis and his daughter, Molly Oates Sherrill, took over the business.
