Reef Builder, 600 g / 1.3 lbs. Reef Builder raises carbonate alkalinity without immediately impacting on ph. With long term use there will be a tendency to stabilize at pH 8.3. Carbonates and calcium are essential to all coral growth. If either becomes deficient, coral growth will cease, followed by a rapid decline in coral health. Used as directed, Reef Builder will not deplete calcium, magnesium, or strontium which usually tend to precipitate with increasing alkalinity. Reef Builder and Reef Buffer may be used together. Use Reef Builder to raise carbonate alkalinity without affecting ph. Use Reef Buffer to raise carbonate alkalinity and ph.

Reef Buffer, 4 kg / 8.8 lbs. Reef buffer is intended primarily for use in a reef system where the maintenance of a pH of 8.3 is often difficult. When used as directed reef buffer will raise the pH of your reef system to 8.3 without fear of accidentally overshooting the pH to a dangerous level. Reef buffer will also raise carbonate alkalinity. Reef buffer is a blended product and is not just sodium carbonate. Reef Builder should be used to raise alkalinity when pH is not a problem. Use Sachem's Multitest: marine pH & alkalinity to check pH and total alkalinity.

Seachem Marine Buffer, 1 Kilo Each (3 Kilos). 3 2.2-pound bottles Marine Buffer powder Raises and maintains pH at 8.3 in all saltwater aquariums Marine Buffer pH water treatment can be used safely in reef tanks Unlike other products, it will not raise your aquarium's pH above 8.3 even if overdosed Marine Buffer was the first buffer on the market which contained borate salts (which make a saltwater buffering system much more stable), and Marine Buffer remains the most effective pH buffer on the market for marine aquaria Marine Buffer will safely raise marine pH to 8.3. It will not raise pH above 8.3 even if inadvertently overdosed. Marine Buffer is a blended product and is not just sodium bicarbonate or sodium carbonate commonly sold as a substitute. Such products can raise pH to dangerous levels if not used properly. Marine Buffer contains sodium magnesium calcium strontium and potassium salts of carbonate bicarbonate chloride sulfate and borate.

Reef Advantage Calcium, 4 kg / 8.8 lbs. Reef Advantage Calcium™ is a non-caustic (pH 8.3–8.6) optimized blend of ionic calcium designed to restore and maintain calcium to levels found in natural seawater. Calcium and carbonates are essential to all coral growth. If either becomes deficient, coral growth will cease, followed by a rapid decline in coral health.Reef Advantage Calcium™ also includes magnesium and strontium in amounts proportionate to typical utilization ratios (100:5:0.1, Ca:Mg:Sr). This allows one to maintain these two important elements while maintaining calcium. Unlike limewater (kalkwasser), Reef Advantage Calcium™ does not have a caustic pH and will not deplete magnesium. Used as directed, it will not deplete alkalinity.

Seachem Reef Buffer, 500 grams, white. Reef Buffer is specifically designed to meet the needs and requirements of the closed reef environment. The principal difference between Reef Buffer and Marine Buffer is that the pK of Reef Buffer is slightly higher than that of Marine Buffer. The pK of a buffering agent is equivalent to the pH around which that buffer most strongly buffers. One would presume, then, that the pK of a saltwater buffer should be 8.3; however, the multitude of organic acids produced by the inhabitants of a reef system forces pH downward to a much greater degree than in a non-reef, marine system. A buffer with a pK of 8.3 would end up yielding a pH more in the range of 8.0-8.2. Reef Buffer's higher pK (8.6) allows for greater pH stability in a reef system where the bioload is significantly more than in a fish only system.

Salifert All-In-One 500 mL. About All in OneAll in One can make the use of the so-called A and B calcium and alkalinity supplements unnecessary. It contains almost everything required for growth by corals and the beautiful encrusting pink and red coralline algae. All in One will increase the alkalinity (carbonate hardness), calcium, strontium, trace elements (except iodine) and amino acids concentrations. We explain the necessity of these below:Calcium, strontium, carbonate (alkalinity) and amino acids are the major constituents of calcareous algae, skeletal material of hard corals and the skeletal needles of soft/leather corals.Growth and multiplication of these organisms means depletion of those substances. The trace elements included in All in One allow organisms to carry out many biological processes.Manganese for instance is essential for the many biochemical reactions, which make photosynthesis possible.Iron is essential to many organisms for absorbing nutrients.Cobalt is essential for the formation of several coral pigments.Zinc is, like manganese essential for photosynthesis and is also used in the formation of calcium carbonate by corals. These are just a few of the trace elements present in All in One and we could give many more examples. This Supplement is highly concentrated and contains for example approx. 55,000 ppm calcium, corresponding amounts of biologically-activated bicarbonate and approx. 1000 ppm strontium. The calcium is acetate based and is converted within minutes to calcium bicarbonate. This unlike gluconate-based products. All ingredients are of a pharmaceutical quality or even better. This ensures that no unwanted elements are added to your valuable aquarium. Some other requirementsOccasionally an additional boost of alkalinity with our KH+pH buffer is recommended to compensate for alkalinity lost by, e.g., decaying food. Also, iodine should be supplemented for excellent results.Directions:Shake before use.Regular maintenance:Dose 5 ml per 100 liters (25 gallons) once a wee.

Reef Brite Aquarium Reef Enhance. Reef Enhance creates real MICROPLANKTON for your reef aquarium. When used in conjunction with popular coral foods Reef Enhance improves the utilization for even better results. Reef Enhance is ideal for hard and soft corals, corallimorphs, filter feeders, copepods, and similar crustaceans. Goniopora, Acropora, Tridacna, Scallops, Sponges, Feather Dusters, Gorgonians and many other kinds of reef life can benefit from its use. Reef Enhance stimulates feeding and reproduction of pods and other nocturnal organisms. Pod larvae, being tiny, are utilized by many fish and invertebrates. Reef Enhance is all natural, not frozen, not dried plankton, with no preservatives! Reef Enhance makes water more biologically active by replicating marine or reef snow. Reef Enhance is an aggregate of microbial spores when added to aquarium water cling to both organic and inorganic matter to create live marine snow. Reef Enhance helps facilitate the breakdown of phytoplankton which is necessary for corals to be able to assimilate vegetable and mineral matter. One of the main benefits of Reef Enhance is the microbes are encysted upon drying, so the aquarist does not have to pay for water. Water containing cultures are not as stable as dry cysts which can last up to two years if refrigerated. Use: Add one scoop per 25 gallons directly to aquarium in a high current area to evenly disperse three times a week or as needed. For smaller tanks 10-15 gallons use half a scoop. For larger tanks use one teaspoon 100 gallons. For optimal results: Add to a few ounces of aquarium water in a separate container and let sit for 20-30 minutes making sure to stir about every ten minutes to ensure best hatch rate. Pour solution in a high current area to ensure best distribution.
