To put it simply, at Santa Barbara Design Studio, we make what we love and we love what we make. The one and only…Lolita. It all started with a girls' night out. One that contained more than the usual laughter and fun. Browsing for the first time through a martini menu, Lolita was inspired by the recipes. After being served a Cosmopolitan, her creative imagination made her see the glass differently, the way she thought it should be, a bit more dressed up, perhaps with a pattern, with flair and with a fabulous recipe on the bottom. Lolita took hold of that original idea, hand painted martini glasses, and then took the world by storm in 2004 to become the hottest gift brand in the U.S. Now, after many successful products, designs and collections, she continues to stand behind what she has always believed...that life should be lived to its fullest and every moment should be celebrated. What is your moment? Commemorate it with a wine, margarita or martini glass, a shooter, rocks glass or pilsner. For whichever of life's big moments, there is a Lolita style to fit it. | ![]() B0071AFO30 Availability: Currently unavailable Score: 4.292 Category: Home Rating: 3.6 Votes: 8 Find similar productsLolita Love My Wine Glass, Hibiscus. From 1936 to 1972 the weekly publication of Life served as the nation's foremost authority on cultural trends and the state of the American experience. It ceased publication until 1978, when it returned as a monthly until the year 2000. Since then Life has returned as a weekly, published in 70 newspapers across the nation. The company is also well-known for its many books on photography, writing and, in conjunction with Time, many self-help and 'how to' volumes. Life magazine continues to be one of the most important publications in the country, both for its current issues as well as its back catalog. Researchers, designers, and the simply curious use Life magazine as a reference for style, trends, celebrity news, as well as the award-winning photography that first made the publication famous. By now there is hardly anybody in the United States who isn't familiar with both the logo (white lettering on a red rectangle) as well any number of photographs first published in the magazine, like the famous V-Day kiss in Times Square. Life magazine is dedicated to continuing its place in American publication history, and back issues of the magazine can fetch considerable figures if in good condition. The magazine has gone from being simply another magazine to a sought-after collectible. Collections of Life magazine are often found at auction. Where Life will go in the future is unknown, but its resiliency has proven to be formidable, and most experts agree that Life will remain an iconic, growing force in American culture for years to come. |

The Wassily Chair, also known as the Model B3 chair, was designed by Marcel Breuer in 1925 while he was the head of the cabinet making workshop at the Bauhaus, in Dessau, Germany. Despite popular belief, the chair was not designed for the non objective painter Wassily Kandinsky, who was concurrently on the Bauhaus faculty. However, Kandinsky had admired the completed design, and Breuer fabricated a duplicate for Kandinsky's personal quarters. The chair became known as Wassily decades later, when it was re-released by an Italian manufacturer who had learned of the anecdotal Kandinsky connection in the course of its research on the chair's origins. This chair was revolutionary in the use of the materials bent tubular steel and canvas and methods of manufacturing. It is said that the handlebar of Breuer's 'Adler' bicycle inspired him to use steel tubing to build the chair, and it proved to be an appropriate material because it was available in quantity. The design and all subsequent steel tubing furniture was technologically feasible only because the German steel manufacturer Mannesmann had recently perfected a process for making seamless steel tubing. Previously, steel tubing had a welded seam, which would collapse when the tubing was bent. | ![]() B006ZC5QBU Availability: Currently unavailable Score: 4.132 Category: Home Rating: 5 Votes: 1 Find similar productsLolita Love My Birthday Month Wine Glass, February.
