Cryptocoryne Balansae - Freshwater Live Aquarium Plant. Cryptocoryne crispatula, also known as the Balansae plant, has very long, thin leaves with ruffled edges and relatively short stems. This plant is amphibious, and when grown out of the water, the leaves will shorten, lose the ruffle, and take on a rounded appearance. The Balansae plant requires a moderate amount of attention to maintain, but is rather flexible in the location of the aquarium where it can be incorporated. Plant the Balansae plant in the background, or sides of the aquarium, or use it as a focal point in the larger aquarium. It can also be used as a mid-ground plant in the smaller aquarium, by removing the mature leaves, in order to keep the plant short. It requires a moderate level of light of 2 to 3 watts per gallon provided by full spectrum (5000-7000K) bulbs. Reproduction within this species is by adventitious plants, or by seed. Allow the new plant to form its own leaves prior to separating it from the mother plant, and relocating it in the aquarium.

Potted Cryptocoryne Wendtii Red - Live Aquarium Live Plant. Cryptocoryne wendtii, a polymorphous (variable) species found only on the island of Sri Lanka, is one of the most popular and widely kept aquarium plants. The ease of culture of C. wendtii and its luxuriant foliage have earned it a well-deserved place in the hobby both in the aquarium and in emersed culture. Several varieties exist, all being united into one species by the purple collared, twisted limb of the spathe of the spadix inflorescence. The 'Red' form is one of the hardiest, most variable, and most popular forms of C. wendtii. C. wendtii 'Red' is an extremely variable plant and can be used in any location in the aquarium as lighting and nutrition allow. This plant responds greatly to lighting, showing a growth habit that is highly dependent on light intensity. Under intense lighting the plant will grow almost completely decumbent. In aquaria with moderate lighting, it grows significantly taller. Along with its hardiness, this color form of C. wendtii is known to be the largest of its species and commonly reaches heights of 12-18 inches in the aquarium.2.

Madagascar Lace Bulb - Aponogeton madagascariensis - Aquarium Plant for Aquariums with temperatures Under 72F. Aponogeton madagascariensis which is known as the Madagascar Lace Plant, is one of the most highly prized plants in the hobby. Its leaves are broad and long with a very delicate lace appearance. Under the right conditions, these plants will flower regularly in the aquarium. This plant is more demanding than most, but is well worth the extra effort. Plant the Madagascar Lace Plant singly in the mid-ground part of the aquarium as a focal point. Trim any dead tips on these plants, to inhibit the entire leaf from decaying. Do not allow algae or any other debris to settle on or within the leaves. Provide a high amount of light in the range of 3 to 5 watts per gallon, using full spectrum (5000-7000K) bulbs. Reproduction with this plant occurs through bulb separation, or formation of seeds after flowering. Allow the new plant to develop a root system and immature leaves prior to separating it from the mother plant. At that time, it can then be planted in a different location. The Madagascar Lace Plant benefits from regular additions of CO2, iron rich fertilizers, and trace elements. It is shipped in its bulb form and will not have fully developed leaves. Under the right conditions, the leaves will quickly take form. ...............Care Level: Difficult Lighting: High Placement: Mid-ground Water Conditions: 65-72F, KH 3-6, pH 6.0-7.0 Propagation: Bulbs, Seeds Max. Size: 2' 1.

Aquatic Arts Loma Fern aka Round Pellia aka Süsswassertang Liverwort Mat (Lomariopsis cf. lineata) - 3.6 x 3.6 inches - Live Aquatic Aquarium Plant. Loma Fern/Round Pellia/Süsswassertang Liverwort (Lomariopsis cf. lineata), is an uncommon fern gametophyte that, until a few years ago, was considered to be a liverwort or moss. The German terms Süsswassertang and Sübwassertang translate to freshwater seaweed. This is a great plant to keep in any freshwater aquarium due to its low lighting requirements. It is a slow-growing plant that is capable of living in somewhat coldwater tanks as well as tropical tanks. It grows into bushy patches that are always a favorite hiding place for shrimp and fish fry. We definitely foresee this plant becoming much more popular in the hobby in the near future and we are pleased to offer it in a stainless steel mat form that makes it easy to attach and begin propagating on rocks, driftwood, or aquarium substrate. With care, it can even grow on the walls of the aquarium. The plant is grown outdoors in Taiwan, and may contain a few snails or terrestrial bugs (the bugs will not survive or reproduce underwater). There are some reports that this extremely slow-growing plant does not respond well to some plant fertilizers, so supplement with caution! What We Like About This Plant: - Unique appearance that contrasts nicely with Java Moss and Willow Moss - Can be attached to almost any aquarium décor - Low light requirements - Little to no supplements needed CARE INFORMATION: - Temperature: 68° - 86° F (20° - 30° C) - pH: 5.5 - 7.5 - Lighting: Low to moderate - Origin: Grown in Asia, indigenous to Southeast Asia - Aquarium Placement: Any - Care: Easy All Aquatic Arts brand plants and animals come with a 100% live arrival guarantee, plus free email support!.
