With a wider tire bed and optimized sidewall design, C2 helps to smooth out airflow where the tire interfaces with the rim. This extra rim width also enlarges the tire's footprint, which increases cornering grip, decreases rolling resistance, and maximizes the tire's ability to absorb bumps. In order to take ride quality and traction to their highest level, the Jet 6+ rim can be run tubeless with the included dual purpose rim tape. All that technology makes for a crushingly fast wheel, one which provides confident handling in headwinds, tail winds, and crosswinds from all angles. HED's Stability Control Technology (SCT) makes sure that no matter which way the wind blows, your path to the podium is a sure one. HED is also justifiably proud of the Jet 6+'s Sonic Flamme Rouge hubs. Low profile, with tall flanges, the forged hub shells have a wide spoke stance for stiffness. Oversized axles are supported by ABEC 5 quality bearings for smooth and silent operation. A grease port in the cassette body as well as the center of the rear hub shell makes maintenance incredibly easy. On race day you can change out the grease to something thin like Slick Honey, then reinstall something thicker for training and durability.
