In order to help pay his way through school, my grandfather would send him baskets that my father would take and sell door-to-door in between classes and on weekends. Overtime, the baskets became very popular and the operation was expanded. While the baskets feature Native American Designs, they are all hand-woven by villagers in Pakistan. At one point, my grandfather found out that the villagers who wove the baskets were being poorly treated by the wholesalers who were purchasing and reselling them. To rectify the situation, he started visiting the villages and purchasing the baskets directly from the weavers. Our family has been importing these baskets for over 40 years and have worked very hard to continue my grandfathers legacy. We purchase baskets directly from the weavers whenever possible and have invested heavily in helping enrich the lives of the people who helped to create this business for us.
