Brightwell Aquatics NanoCode A - Major, Minor and Trace Elements for Nano Reef Aquariums. Small reef aquaria offer numerous benefits and challenges to their husbandry. Their compact size affords the ability to create a densely-stocked coral and/or sessile invertebrate assemblage for a modest investment of time and resources, equates to a savings in utility bills relative to the requirements of larger systems, and makes placement of a flourishing captive reef biotope into rooms with limited space a simple matter. The primary challenges associated with caring for small reef aquaria are maintaining proper nutrient concentrations and resisting the temptation to overstock, overcrowd, and overfeed the system. Nano-reef aquarists will agree that a primary goal is to encourage the growth of corals and other reef-building invertebrates being housed, and the relative rates of growth are largely dependent upon the availability of elements such as calcium, magnesium, potassium, and strontium, as well as upon the alkalinity being maintained within the proper range. Used in conjunction, NanoCode A & B provide the aforementioned elements, as well as the molecules forming the basis of alkalinity, in ratios that encourage the production of aragonite. NanoCode A also provides non-conservative minor and trace elements in natural seawater concentrations to help simplify the maintenance of inorganic water chemistry in nano-reef aquaria. Neither NanoCode contains organic components such as vitamins or amino acids as these should be dosed separately.

Brightwell Aquatics Florin P - Inorganic Phosphorus Source for Planted Freshwater Aquariums. Of the three major or macro- plant nutrients, phosphorus is required in the least amount. In some aquatic environments with little influx of organic material, the resulting low phosphorus concentration may limit the ability of plants to extract and utilize available nutrients from their surroundings, with the result being slowed or stunted growth. Even in habitats with seemingly-perfect water flow, physical, and chemical conditions (e.g. exposure to intense illumination, pH and water temperature within suitable ranges, adequate inorganic carbon present, abundant nitrogen, potassium, and essential micronutrients), lush, rapidly-growing plants will not be encountered if phosphorus is not present in adequate supply. It may therefore be said that phosphorus is a key to unlocking the potential for nutrient uptake, and the resulting plant growth, in such habitats. Correspondingly, excessive phosphorus content in the described aquatic habitat can result in rapid growth of algae. In general, maintaining a ratio of between ~10 - 20 parts nitrogen per 1 part phosphorus tends to result in steady plant growth without encouraging rampant algae growth; when the N:P ratio decreases (that is, the amount of phosphorus per unit nitrogen increases, or (more simply) the phosphorus concentration in the water begins to increase relative the nitrogen concentration), it is not uncommon for algae growth to become very rapid. Note that the preceding habitat description matches that of densely-planted aquaria housing few fish and/or motile invertebrates such as ornamental shrimp.Florin P provides an appropriate, high-purity form of phosphorus to planted aquaria. It is imperative when using a phosphorus supplement that the system never be overdosed, and that the visible signs of excessive phosphorus become familiar to the aquarist. The goal should be sustained, manageable growth rates of healthy plants, understanding that growth rates will vary between and (sometimes) within species as a result of different physical factors such as light intensity, shading, and water flow which will not be uniform throughout the entire aquarium. Phenolic compounds exuded by higher plants are likely to increase in abundance as a planted aquarium matures. Ensuring that the N:P ratios discussed above are followed will help maintain a healthy planted aquarium, however each system will have different phosphorus and nitrogen requirements based upon the nutrient budget. The dosage of Florin P and a nitrogen supplement, such as FlorinGro, should be adjusted by the aquarist as the needs of the plants dictate.

Brightwell Aquatics MediCoral - Coral Dip for New Coral Additions and to Benefit Established Corals. Experienced hobbyists are well aware of the delicate nature of the soft tissue that constitutes the living coral polyp, particularly in the case of stony corals. Inspection of a bare stony coral skeleton often reveals a very convoluted and sharp structure; when coral tissue is inadvertently pressed against such a structure, the resulting local tissue damage can create an entryway for infection and/or infestation by organisms that would otherwise be combated by the coral’s immune system. Physical damage to coral tissue is not an uncommon event during shipping and/or handling, and is an unavoidable result of fragmenting when the cutting site is not bare skeleton. A colony or individual may also experience stress as a matter of changing chemical or physical conditions in the aquarium, often leading to weakening of the immune system, with the afore-mentioned infection/infestation as a possible result.

Triton Labs ICP-OES Water Test- Full Panel of 32 Elements - Saltwater Reef Testing Kit. Empowered Reefkeeping is at the core of The Triton Method , and it all starts with information about your aquarium's water. For the time ever, reefkeepers have access to the most detailed analysis of aquarium water ever developed. Developed over several years at his facility in Dusseldorf, Germany, Triton Labs founder, Ehsan Dashti has developed customized protocols to utilize Inductively Coupled Plasma-Optical Emmission Spectrometry analysis (ICP-OES) to literally rip molecules apart with plasma that is heated to 10,000 degrees Kelvin for analysis. The ICP-OES machine has been adapted by Ehsan to test seawater for the ultimate in accuracy. Water is tested for precise concentrations of lesser known elements found in seawater that are either essential and missing, or detrimental and building up to high levels in the aquarium. The elements being tested for include Na, Ca, Mg, K, Sr, B, Br, S, Li, Be, Ba, Ti, V, Cr, Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Cu, Zn, Al, Si, As, Sb, Sn, Cd, Se, Mo, Hg, P (PO4), Pb, I. The results provide you with the most detailed analysis of marine aquarium water you've ever seen, enabling you to understand exactly what's missing, what's excessive, and what to do about it. The results of Triton Reef’s testing are reported back to you online in a simple, easy-to-understand format. If you need to add trace elements, Triton offers ultra-pure trace elements to adjust deficiencies in your aquarium. The benefit to you is being able, for the first time, to add exactly what your corals require for long-term health and growth, or knowing exactly what is building up to potentially detrimental levels. The possibilities with the Triton Method include being able to precisely replicate natural the water chemistry conditions from reefs around the world, as well as creating higher potential for success with the information provided by the ICP-OES analysis. We recommend purchasing a minimum of 3 tests, so that.

Salifert All-In-One 500 mL. About All in OneAll in One can make the use of the so-called A and B calcium and alkalinity supplements unnecessary. It contains almost everything required for growth by corals and the beautiful encrusting pink and red coralline algae. All in One will increase the alkalinity (carbonate hardness), calcium, strontium, trace elements (except iodine) and amino acids concentrations. We explain the necessity of these below:Calcium, strontium, carbonate (alkalinity) and amino acids are the major constituents of calcareous algae, skeletal material of hard corals and the skeletal needles of soft/leather corals.Growth and multiplication of these organisms means depletion of those substances. The trace elements included in All in One allow organisms to carry out many biological processes.Manganese for instance is essential for the many biochemical reactions, which make photosynthesis possible.Iron is essential to many organisms for absorbing nutrients.Cobalt is essential for the formation of several coral pigments.Zinc is, like manganese essential for photosynthesis and is also used in the formation of calcium carbonate by corals. These are just a few of the trace elements present in All in One and we could give many more examples. This Supplement is highly concentrated and contains for example approx. 55,000 ppm calcium, corresponding amounts of biologically-activated bicarbonate and approx. 1000 ppm strontium. The calcium is acetate based and is converted within minutes to calcium bicarbonate. This unlike gluconate-based products. All ingredients are of a pharmaceutical quality or even better. This ensures that no unwanted elements are added to your valuable aquarium. Some other requirementsOccasionally an additional boost of alkalinity with our KH+pH buffer is recommended to compensate for alkalinity lost by, e.g., decaying food. Also, iodine should be supplemented for excellent results.Directions:Shake before use.Regular maintenance:Dose 5 ml per 100 liters (25 gallons) once a wee.

Brightwell Aquatics Reef Code B - Balanced Calcium and Alkalinity System for All Marine Fish & Reef Aquarium, 250-ML, Model Number: RCB250. This method of calcium and carbonate supplementation is advantageous to hobbyists interested in a simple and effective solution to providing the very elements and molecules required for growth of reef-building organisms such as corals, clams, and their allies. Corals and other reef-building organisms require adequate and stable available calcium and alkalinity to thrive. Under most conditions, the mineral that is secreted as skeletal material is known as Aragonite, composed mostly of carbonate and calcium by weight. Reef-building organisms must extract these substances from the surrounding water in order to secrete new skeletal material for growth. By maintaining the same ratio of calcium ions and carbonates in an aquarium as that found in natural seawater, these organisms have the necessary building blocks available in the proper proportions, even if the hobbyist chooses to maintain higher concentrations of these substances. For maximum effectiveness of the Reef Cōde method, the magnesium concentration in reef aquaria should be adjusted to, and maintained between, 1, 290 - 1, 320 ppm before using these products (alone or together) or any other calcium and alkalinity products. Doing so helps prevent unwanted precipitation between calcium and carbonate ions. Additional information on this subject is available on our website and on the label for Brightwell Aquatics Magnesion. The rate at which calcium and carbonates are extracted from the water is determined by the stocking density of reef-building livestock, type of lighting, and other conditions; therefore, each aquarium will have different requirements for the rate of supplementation. Once the rate of alkalinity depletion in the aquarium has been determined, the proper dosing rate of this product can be easily calculated.

Cat Mix 100 Grams. Animals have unique physiological and structural systems and, therefore, need specific food and nutrients to remain in optimal health. No longer insignificant, household pets are now considered family members who require special attention. Filling the need, the pet food industry has grown tremendously over the years. But you have to wonder if you are getting the best nutrients for your cat.Cats have been domesticated since early times to catch rats and mice. Today, they are primarily household pets that, like dogs, require special attention when it comes to nutrition and care. Cats are carnivorous. But unlike dogs that can eat some plant-based foods, cats need animal protein to survive. Nutrients like taurine and arginine are important to a cats health, and without them cats could die. Taurine, for cats, is a must for heart, kidney, and eye health. Arginine detoxifies ammonia in cats kidneys and is also important for heart and pancreatic function and keeping the gut healthy. Arachidonic acid is an essential fatty acid for cats, since cats cannot convert significant quantities of linoleate to arachidonate. And, just like humans, cats need B vitamins to support the cardiovascular system. Cats also have problems metabolizing certain amino acids from other nutrients, like the conversion of niacin from tryptophan, or vitamin A from beta carotene. For that reason cats have more stringent nutritional requirements than such omnivores as dogs and humans.
