We are very excited to offer a very new form of our most popular species, Neocaridina davidi … the Green Jade Shrimp! This is one of the most recent forms in the ever-growing varieties of this dwarf shrimp species. Boasting a beautiful deep green coloration (especially with dark substrate), this variety is as sure to quickly rise in popularity. Some specimens have a green-yellow coloration as well. Care for this shrimp is identical to all varieties of Cherry, Neon Yellow, Blue Velvet, Sapphire, Blue/Black Diamond, Chocolate, Snowball, and Rili Shrimp. It is comparably durable as well. This shrimp is a scavenger and is very useful in planted and nano aquariums. The bulk of its diet is biofilm and decaying plant matter so it will work diligently to clear up any aquarium. It feeds constantly, so it displays constant activity. In a less mature aquarium, it should be fed high quality flake and mini pellet dry foods with high spirulina/plant content. What We Like About This Shrimp: - Striking deep green coloration - Completely peaceful with all non-aggressive tankmates - Safe with all plants - Excellent scavenger RECOMMENDED TANK PARAMETERS: - Temperature: 64° - 84° F (17.8° - 28.8° C) - pH: 6.5 - 7.5 - KH: 0 - 10 dKH - Minimum Tank Size: 2 gallons CARE INFORMATION: - Diet: Scavenger that feeds continually. Requires very little feeding in a well-established aquarium containing biofilm, or decaying plant matter. In less mature aquariums, high quality dry foods with high plant content can be fed multiple times daily. - Social Behavior: Peaceful. A small group can continually replenish and grow its population. - Origin: Tank-raised in and indigenous to Taiwan. - Average Adult Size: 1 - 1.5 inches (2.5 - 3.8 cm) - Average Purchase Size: .5 - 1 inches (1.3 - 2.5 cm). | ![]() B08P4P6FV8 Price: $34.95 Score: 10.753 Category: Pet Rating: 4.1 Votes: 31 Find similar productsRed Cherry Shrimp Fire Red SS Grade Live Freshwater Aquarium Shrimp - 1/4 to 1 inch Long (5 Shrimp). Fire Red Shrimp SS Grade are our highest Red Cherry shrimp grade, one of the most common shrimps in the hobby. These have deep red opaque color, most of the legs are red. They are around 3/4 to 1 inch long, mostly female shrimp. CARING - Red Cherry Shrimp are easy to care for as they can adapt to a wide range of water parameters, they can be kept in either soft or hard water. We recommend keeping them in hard water with a gH of at least 8 for them to show their best color. Aquarium should be fully cycled before introducing any shrimp. There should be no trace Ammonia and Nitrite, Nitrate should be under 25ppm. Weekly water change of 10-20% is suggested to keep the nitrate low. Feed only 2-3 times a week as overfeeding will cause shrimp death. BREEDING - Red Cherry Shrimp is fairly easy, if there is a male and female in the aquarium, they will breed. Female shrimp will carry the eggs for about 30 days until they are hatched to miniature size of their parents. It is important to have a well established aquarium in order for the shrimplets to survive as they can only consume biofilms until they grow older. We recommend to only keep one strain of Neocaridina shrimp per tank because of crossbreeding, which will revert the offsprings back to wild color. The Ghost Crayfish (a very rare color morph of Procambarus clarkii) is arguably the most beautiful freshwater crayfish available anywhere in the world! The buzz surrounding this crayfish is due to its incredible red, white, and blue coloration. We ship these out as 2+ inch young adults that already include those colors, but they may increase or brighten as the crayfish matures. This crayfish will eat almost any meat or plant-based foods, and it often eats aquatic plants. As it grows, the Ghost Crayfish may behave aggressively towards other animals. It is important to provide ample hiding places, such as a PVC pipe assortment. Large crayfish require an aquarium filter (e.g. bio wheel filter) to keep the tank water clear. An aquarium pump is also a must, e.g. an aquarium sump pump with a return pump and overflow box. This is a very hardy animal, but regular water changes are vital to its health. Other bottom- dwelling invertebrates (e.g. eating snails) and fish should not be kept with large crayfish. It is possible to keep mid- and upper-level, fast-swimming fish with the Ghost Crayfish (such as Guppies, Endlers, and Mollies), but crayfish are opportunistic feeders and will generally eat whatever they can catch. All of our B-Grade crayfish are simply specimens that are missing legs or claws that we offer at an extra discounted price. Loss of limbs is not permanent and happens very commonly with crustaceans. They are very healthy, of great quality, and will completely regenerate lost appendages within 1 to 2 molts (about 2 to 3 months). SubstrateSource Red Cherry Shrimp (Neocaridina heteropoda) are freshwater shrimp and peaceful additions to the freshwater aquarium. They are scavengers, feeding on pretty much anything they can get ahold of including the algae film that naturally grows inside of an aquarium, or fish food pellets, wafers, or flakes. As with all aquatic pets, do not over-feed as this may create an unhealthy aquarium environment for your shrimp. SubstrateSource Red Cherry Shrimp can display more or less vibrant coloration depending on their age, sex, and environment. Keep in mind that shrimp in nature are generally the target of predators, so if you have aggressive fish (e.g. Cichlids, Barbs, Angelfish, etc.), you should not buy these shrimp. Although fish with small mouths may not be able to eat the shrimp, constant pecking by fish can stress and kill cherry shrimp. With this in mind, make sure there are plenty of places for shrimp to hide if you do have fish. These shrimp love live aquarium plants and use them for both shelter and a feeding site. Note: The shrimp are selected at random (size and sex). Most are juvenile size, roughly 1/4 inch in length, but may be as long as 1 inch. As depicted in the sample photo, the color markings vary by individual. |

Cryptocoryne wendtii, a polymorphous (variable) species found only on the island of Sri Lanka, is one of the most popular and widely kept aquarium plants. The ease of culture of C. wendtii and its luxuriant foliage have earned it a well-deserved place in the hobby both in the aquarium and in emersed culture. Several varieties exist, all being united into one species by the purple collared, twisted limb of the spathe of the spadix inflorescence. The 'Red' form is one of the hardiest, most variable, and most popular forms of C. wendtii. C. wendtii 'Red' is an extremely variable plant and can be used in any location in the aquarium as lighting and nutrition allow. This plant responds greatly to lighting, showing a growth habit that is highly dependent on light intensity. Under intense lighting the plant will grow almost completely decumbent. In aquaria with moderate lighting, it grows significantly taller. Along with its hardiness, this color form of C. wendtii is known to be the largest of its species and commonly reaches heights of 12-18 inches in the aquarium.2. | ![]() B00J9TC8RG Availability: Currently unavailable Score: 9.174 Category: Pet Rating: 3.6 Votes: 9 Find similar productsAquatic Arts 1 Live Emerald Fire Crayfish/Freshwater Lobster (3-4 inch Young Adult) - Stunning Cherax Crayfish. Included is one Emerald Fire Crayfish (Cherax holthuisi). This will be a young adult that is 3 to 4 inches long, and will grow up to 6 to 8 inches long as an adult. This crayfish has an extremely impressive albeit strange color combination; emerald green and fire orange. The colors contrast extremely well and make this crayfish look almost unreal. The claws are large and daunting, lined with fire orange and tipped with red. The rest of the crayfish is a beautiful combination of green and orange. Rarely, the crayfish will exhibit black instead of emerald green. This is a proprietary breed that results from crossing two members of the Cherax classification. Though crayfish are NOT friendly to other aquarium inhabitants, they can often live with fast-moving fish and animals that are not bottom-dwellers. They are fairly slow and only a sick fish would be able to be caught by the crayfish. We keep them with red cherry shrimp, and have never seen a death, but we can't guarantee that dwarf shrimp will be completely safe if kept with large crayfish. Also, they may eat live plants! This crayfish grows large and needs at least a 30 gallon tank for a single crayfish, or a 55 gallon for 2 to 3 crayfish. It feeds on almost anything, from pellet food to blood worms or live food. You can get away with not feeding the crayfish any live food whatsoever. RECOMMENDED TANK PARAMETERS: - pH level range: 6.5 - 7.5 - Temperature range: 68° - 85° F - KH: 6 - 15 dKH - Recommended Aquatic Arts tank mates: Fast-moving fish (such as danios, rasboras, guppies, etc.). Cichlids can be aggressive towards crayfish and should not be kept in the same tank. - Additional notes: Crayfish prefer foods like invertebrate pellets or blanched vegetables, but will also eat fish food or wafers. Crayfish molt periodically and sometimes eat their old exoskeleton. |
