Included is one Emerald Fire Crayfish (Cherax holthuisi). This will be a young adult that is 3 to 4 inches long, and will grow up to 6 to 8 inches long as an adult. This crayfish has an extremely impressive albeit strange color combination; emerald green and fire orange. The colors contrast extremely well and make this crayfish look almost unreal. The claws are large and daunting, lined with fire orange and tipped with red. The rest of the crayfish is a beautiful combination of green and orange. Rarely, the crayfish will exhibit black instead of emerald green. This is a proprietary breed that results from crossing two members of the Cherax classification. Though crayfish are NOT friendly to other aquarium inhabitants, they can often live with fast-moving fish and animals that are not bottom-dwellers.
