As a pet, a Ramshorn Snail can be an interesting addition to a community tank. Ramshorn Snails can be a good match for species tanks as well, like shrimp or snail tanks. A Ramshorn Snail can do a good job keeping a tank clean by eating uneaten food, dead or decaying plant matter, debris, detritus, and soft algae buildup on hard surfaces. A Ramshorn Snail can be seen for hours on end canvasing the tank for edible matter. Ramshorn Snails have the ability to move and bend their rubber-like bodies around very thin plant leaves, dangle from stems and stretch as they move from one hard surface to another. With a young Ramshorn Snail, the inside of their bodies can be seen as they eat and digest food, because their shells are thin and translucent. | ![]() B07QBJVDRG Price: $42.99 Score: 5.747 Category: Pet Rating: 3.9 Votes: 103 Find similar productsAwesome Aquatics 5 Orange Poso Sulawesi Rabbit Snails Tylomelania Live Freshwater Snail. Included is one Zebra Crayfish (Cherax peknyi), also known as the Tiger Crayfish. This listing is for a B-Grade crayfish, which means that the crayfish will be missing more than one limb. This is a very common occurrence among crayfish, and the limbs will regenerate over time as the crayfish molts. This will be a young adult that is 3 to 4 inches long, and will grow up to 6 to 8 inches long as an adult. This is one of the most unique-looking crayfish we have to offer due to its diverse and lustrous coloration. These crayfish usually have cerulean blue, periwinkle, sage green, and sunny orange colors on its body, with a darker emerald green covering its tail. These crayfish are truly a sight to be seen! This crayfish grows large and needs at least a 30 gallon tank for a single crayfish, or a 55 gallon for 2 to 3 crayfish. It feeds on almost anything, from pellet food to blood worms or live food. Though crayfish are NOT friendly to other aquarium inhabitants, they can often live with fast-moving fish and animals that are not bottom-dwellers. They are fairly slow and only a sick fish would be able to be caught by the crayfish. We keep them with guppies and fire red cherry shrimp, and have never seen a death, but we cannot guarantee that dwarf shrimp will be completely safe if kept with a large crayfish. Also, they may eat live plants, though some are worse about destroying plants than others. RECOMMENDED TANK PARAMETERS: - pH level range: 6.5 - 7.5 - Temperature range: 68° to 85° F - KH: 6 - 15 dKH - Recommended Aquatic Arts tank mates: Fast-moving fish (such as guppies, danios, rasboras, etc.). Cichlids can be aggressive towards crayfish and should not be kept in the same tank. - Additional notes: Crayfish prefer foods like invertebrate pellets or blanched vegetables, but will also eat fish food and wafers. | ![]() B071JRFY11 Availability: Currently unavailable Score: 5.525 Category: Pet Rating: 2.9 Votes: 9 Find similar productsBlack Mystery Snail - 1/2-2 - Algae Eater for Aquariums. RECOMMENDED TANK PARAMETERS: - PH level range: 7.6 to 8.4 - Temperature range: 68 to 84 degrees Fahrenheit - Water type: Hard - Recommended tank mates: Other types snails (Nerite snails, Mystery Snails, Sulawesi Snails, etc.), dwarf shrimp (such as Blue Velvet shrimp, Sakura Fire Red Cherry Shrimp, Neon Yellow Shrimp, etc.). They can also be kept with small to medium-sized, non-aggressive fish. - Additional notes: With mystery snails, it's a good idea to make sure the water line in your aquarium isn't too high, as these snails tend to climb up to the water line to breathe air. They will eat fish or invertebrate pellets and blanched vegetables such as zucchini, kale, spinach, or cucumber. Snails are very sensitive to copper, so watch out for copper if you use tap water in your tank. |

Included is one Emerald Fire Crayfish (Cherax holthuisi). This will be a young adult that is 3 to 4 inches long, and will grow up to 6 to 8 inches long as an adult. This crayfish has an extremely impressive albeit strange color combination; emerald green and fire orange. The colors contrast extremely well and make this crayfish look almost unreal. The claws are large and daunting, lined with fire orange and tipped with red. The rest of the crayfish is a beautiful combination of green and orange. Rarely, the crayfish will exhibit black instead of emerald green. This is a proprietary breed that results from crossing two members of the Cherax classification. Though crayfish are NOT friendly to other aquarium inhabitants, they can often live with fast-moving fish and animals that are not bottom-dwellers. They are fairly slow and only a sick fish would be able to be caught by the crayfish. The Chopstick Snail (Stenomelania torulosa) is an excellent scavenger and substrate sifter with a unique, spike-shaped appearance. Though it is native to the warm Sulawesi lake system and other waterways of Indonesia, this snail can thrive in lower water temperatures than many other Sulawesi animals. This snail is very slow moving and spends most of its time climbing aquarium terrain and burrowing in the substrate. It is great at keeping your gravel or aquarium soil naturally aerated and free of biofilm and gases that build up within it, and it can do this without harming any plant root. Feeding and care is very easy for the hardy Chopstick Snail. It requires the same maintenance and conditions as most tropical aquarium snails. It will eat nearly any high-quality dry and frozen foods, but it will also feed heavily on biofilm and decaying plant matter in the aquarium. It does not harm aquarium plants, so it is completely safe to keep in a planted tank. This snail is a very slow aquarium breeder as well (females will only produce one offspring at a time), so you should not have to worry about snail overpopulation in your home aquarium. They are similar in appearance to Malaysian Trumpet Snails, but do not breed nearly as fast. They are peaceful and thus safe to keep with nonaggressive freshwater fish (such as Danio fish, Corydora Catfish, etc.), dwarf shrimp, large shrimp, and other freshwater snails. Basic aquarium supplies are required when raising these snails, such as a tank filter system (e.g. reactor filter, poly filter etc.) and perhaps an aquarium air diffuser (such as an air stones). CARE GUIDELINES: - Temperature: 72° - 86° F (22° - 30° C) - pH: 7.0 - 8.2 - KH: 2 - 12 dKH - Minimum tank size: 5 gallons per snail - Average adult size: 1 - 2.5 (2.5 - 3.8 cm) - Average purchase size: 1/2 - 1 (1.3 - 6.4 cm). | ![]() B08BG83S7F Availability: Currently unavailable Score: 5.291 Category: Pet Rating: 4.5 Votes: 7 Find similar productsNeon Tetra Live Tropical Freshwater Aquarium Fish Tank Raised Tetras (12 Fish). Red Ramshorn Snails (aka Bright Red Ramshorn Snails or Red Ram's Horn Snails) are great for adding some color and decoration to your aquarium rig, but also serve some very useful purposes! They essentially act as fish tank clearers by wiping off aquarium glass, live plants, log aquarium decorations, and substrate. These snails consume uneaten fish food and biofilm. Their shell colors are most commonly shades of pink, but the spectrum ranges from bright pink to dark red or maroon. These snails will arrive young and pea-sized, but may sometimes be smaller. Within two months, even the smallest snail will be adult breeding size, and the beautiful shell color will intensify as the snails age. Ultimately, these snails can grow up to 1 or 2 inches in diameter when fully grown. These snails are peaceful and can make a great addition to just about any kind of fish aquarium or planted tank. They are safe with any nonaggressive fish, shrimp, other freshwater snails, and other aquarium animals. They are great for either a deep aquarium or shallow aquarium! NOTE: Ramshorn snails are not picky at all about their water parameters, and they tend to reproduce like crazy in almost any conditions. If you run into problems with snail overpopulation, a few Assassin Snails will quickly take care of the problem. Because of their fast breeding, Ramshorn snails make an excellent live food starter colony for any fish that eats snails, such as Puffer fish.
