Potted Indian Red Echinodorus Sword - Beginner Tropical Live Aquarium Plant. The Indian Red Sword is a hybrid between Echinodorus uruguayensis and Echinodorus aschersonianus, which gives the adult leaves their red coloration. If the conditions are not ideal, the plant grows more slowly, a bit smaller, and the deep red coloration of the leaves will turn more rust to green in color. This species is amphibious and will grow either submersed or partially submersed. Requiring little attention after the initial planting, the Indian Red Sword is a great plant for beginners. The Indian Red Sword requires moderate to high lighting, approximately 3 watts per gallon provided by full spectrum (5000-7000K) bulbs. The temperature of the water should be between 72°-82°F, with an alkalinity of 3-8 dKH and a neutral pH. The Indian Red Sword propagates by rhizomes or adventitious shoots that grow off of leaves. A prolific plant under most circumstances, the development of a new leaf once a week is not uncommon.

Blue Spotted 5 Live Freshwater Red Cherry Shrimp - Neocaridina Heteropoda Variety. SubstrateSource Red Cherry Shrimp (Neocaridina heteropoda) are freshwater shrimp and peaceful additions to the freshwater aquarium. They are scavengers, feeding on pretty much anything they can get ahold of including the algae film that naturally grows inside of an aquarium, or fish food pellets, wafers, or flakes. As with all aquatic pets, do not over-feed as this may create an unhealthy aquarium environment for your shrimp. SubstrateSource Red Cherry Shrimp can display more or less vibrant coloration depending on their age, sex, and environment. Keep in mind that shrimp in nature are generally the target of predators, so if you have aggressive fish (e.g. Cichlids, Barbs, Angelfish, etc.), you should not buy these shrimp. Although fish with small mouths may not be able to eat the shrimp, constant pecking by fish can stress and kill cherry shrimp. With this in mind, make sure there are plenty of places for shrimp to hide if you do have fish. These shrimp love live aquarium plants and use them for both shelter and a feeding site. Note: The shrimp are selected at random (size and sex). Most are juvenile size, roughly 1/4 inch in length, but may be as long as 1 inch. As depicted in the sample photo, the color markings vary by individual.

Red Cherry Shrimp Fire Red SS Grade Live Freshwater Aquarium Shrimp - 1/4 to 1 inch Long (5 Shrimp). Fire Red Shrimp SS Grade are our highest Red Cherry shrimp grade, one of the most common shrimps in the hobby. These have deep red opaque color, most of the legs are red. They are around 3/4 to 1 inch long, mostly female shrimp. CARING - Red Cherry Shrimp are easy to care for as they can adapt to a wide range of water parameters, they can be kept in either soft or hard water. We recommend keeping them in hard water with a gH of at least 8 for them to show their best color. Aquarium should be fully cycled before introducing any shrimp. There should be no trace Ammonia and Nitrite, Nitrate should be under 25ppm. Weekly water change of 10-20% is suggested to keep the nitrate low. Feed only 2-3 times a week as overfeeding will cause shrimp death. BREEDING - Red Cherry Shrimp is fairly easy, if there is a male and female in the aquarium, they will breed. Female shrimp will carry the eggs for about 30 days until they are hatched to miniature size of their parents. It is important to have a well established aquarium in order for the shrimplets to survive as they can only consume biofilms until they grow older. We recommend to only keep one strain of Neocaridina shrimp per tank because of crossbreeding, which will revert the offsprings back to wild color. Common Name: Red Cherry Shrimp, Fire Red Shrimp, Painted Fire Red, PFR Scientific name: Neocaridina davidi Maximum Size: 1.5 Water Parameters: pH 6.5 - 7.5gH 6 - 12kH 0 - 10TDS 250 - 350Temperature 68 – 78F.

Ludwigia palustris red x1 Bunch - Live Aquarium Plant. This cosmopolitan stem plant turns red easier and is smaller than the well-known Ludwigia repens ’Rubin’. Each stalk becomes 2-4 cm wide and 10-30 cm high. The plant willingly creates side shoots, but cutting increases the amount and leaves the plant even denser. The cut-off shoots can be replanted and they quickly generate new roots. The plant becomes intensely red and grows better, when placed in light and with added CO2.

We are very excited to offer a very new form of our most popular species, Neocaridina davidi … the Green Jade Shrimp! This is one of the most recent forms in the ever-growing varieties of this dwarf shrimp species. Care for this shrimp is identical to all varieties of Cherry, Neon Yellow, Blue Velvet, Sapphire, Blue/Black Diamond, Chocolate, Snowball, and Rili Shrimp. It is comparably durable as well. This shrimp is a scavenger and is very useful in planted and nano aquariums. The bulk of its diet is biofilm and decaying plant matter so it will work diligently to clear up any aquarium.
