Professional Aluminum Anodizing Pigment Dyes | Black E-CRO | Light to Rich Black | Powder Concentrate Makes 7.6 Liters or 2 Gallons. READ SDS SHEET PRIOR TO HANDELING AVOID INHALATION, INGESTION, EYE AND SKIN CONTACT KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN Deep Black - Black E-CRO is an anodizing dye. Use Black E-CRO only on aluminum, magnesium, titanium and tantalum. Most commonly, Black E-CRO is used on aluminum. It is not intended for use on any other metals or materials. Black E-CRO can change its shade of grey to black depending on how long it is in the anodizing bath and in the dye bath. It can be a light grey if you do a shorter anodizing cycle. For a longer duration in the anodizing bath and in the dye bath, it will look like dark black. The anodizing process parameters have a significant impact on the properties of the oxide formed. This means that the color is dependent on the anodizing process. Black E-CRO is RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) compliant. It is made with fume suppressants. Specifications on Black E-CRO Concentration - This 80 mL bottle contains 60 grams of powder to makes 7.6 L or 2 gallons. pH - 5.0 – 6.0 (Raise with ammonium hydroxide, lower with acetric acid.) Temperature - 120-140°F. Light Fastness - 7-8 Time - 4-10 minutes depending on saturation preference. Anodizing is an electrochemical conversion process. Anodizing changes the outer surface of the aluminum. Anodized aluminum has different characteristics than raw aluminum. Some of the characteristics of anodized aluminum include durability and weight. (It is lighter weight than stainless steel.) The process of “anodization” creates a thick oxide layer. This thick oxide layer makes it very hard, quite scratch resistant and improves its corrosion resistance. Also, the thick oxide layer makes it easier to clean than raw aluminum. Because of its porous nature, anodizing makes it possible to dye the aluminum many different colors. Store in a cool dry environment.

Copy Cad & Zinc Electroplating Kit - 1.5 Gallon. Now, Copy Cad AND Zinc plating in one kit. By simply adding a special brightener to the solution, the normally dull, flat, whitish look of Copy Cad is transformed into a commercial quality bright zinc plate. After use, the bath reverts back to the original Cadmium look. This simple system is designed to give professional results without a complicated 'chemistry set'. The kit comes with an Abrasive wheel which provides a 'flat' finish to the metal for Copy Cad . These kits are designed to provide a professional zinc finish to a variety of substrates on small components such as workshop tools, brake boosters, brackets and zinc alloy carburetor castings. Zinc plating is a most valuable tool when used in combating corrosion of steel. The zinc corrodes before the steel does, sacrificing itself for the benefit of the steel. A metallurgical bond is formed between the zinc and steel forming an iron rich alloy with tenacious bond. Galvanizing can be left unpainted where it will form its own protective oxide layer. The system operates at 110 deg F, and 0.14 amps per square inch of part surface area. A 20 minute plating time is sufficient for most applications, including chromating. After zinc plating, parts can be dipped in a variety of chromates to give color and increased corrosion resistance. 1.5 Gallon Kit Contains: 2 x 2 Gal Plating Tanks & Lids, 2 x 4 x 8 , Zinc Anodes , 1 Pack Copy Cad/Zinc Part A & B (Makes 1.

Brass, Bronze, Copper Foundry Melting Flux (Quart). Description: BCS Brass Casting Flux is a professional grade, cover and drossing flux for use in brass, bronze & copper melting. It is manufactured by Synex Inc. and sold to the foundry industry as BA-315 Brass / Bronze Flux. This flux reduces metal oxidation, promotes separation of dross from metal, and reduces gas levels in the melt. What It Does: Synex BA-315 is a dual action flux. First it helps impurities and slag (dross) float to the top of the melt. Then it creates a floating layer (cover) on top of the molten metal that protects it from gas absorbtion. Molten metal can rapidly absorb hydrogen gas from the atmosphere causing surface defects and porosity. This process will result in a better surface finish and improved material strength in your part. Using a good flux also helps to recover metal that would otherwise be stuck in the dross and lost when skimming. How To Use It: Use 3 to 5 oz. of flux per 100 lb. of molten metal, depending on cleanliness of the melt. Enough flux should be put in with the cold metal to cover the molten heel during melting. (A heel is the puddle of molten metal under the still solid metal that is melting). Once the metal has melted, the cover layer is skimmed off and more flux is stirred in for a final cleaning. After it has had time to react, the final dross is skimmed off to reveal a clean, mirror like pool of molten metal, ready for pouring. FREE SHIPPING!!!.

This allows parts coated with lmm6000 to be stored, moved or stacked prior to laser marking. If you are interested specifically in marking stainless steel, You should choose lmm6000, as it makes the darkest marks on this substrate.substrateslmm6000 is a somewhat flexible product which is recommended for many metals. The following list is made up of substrates on which lmm6000 works well. This list is not exhaustive, however, so if your substrate does not appear on the list, this does not mean lmm6000 will not mark it. stainless steel bright annealed chrome plating titanium galvanized steel nickel plating brass aluminum gold plating copper pewter silver plating lasers that worklmm6000 works equally well with CO2 and solid state lasers.

EFeMn-A - Hardfacing Low Hidrogen High Manganese Electrode - D256 - AWS 5.13-14 x 1/8 - (11 LBS). Introduction: D256 is a high manganese steel surfacing electrode with low hydrogen potassium type coating AC/DC. (When AC welding, Open circuit (no load) voltages of arc welding should be higher than 70V). When surfacing use low current, narrow bead, hammer or water quench immediately when hot to reduce crack tendency. Use in austenitic high manganese steel Recommendations for welding: Austenitic manganese steels, in as cast condition or as weld metal, are sensitive to hot shortness and may crack if subjected to excessive heat. Under normal conditions the base material should not be preheated and interpass temperatures above 200 °C should be avoided. Welding outdoor in very cold weather, the base material should be warmed up to 50-100 °C. Weld metal hardness, (all weld metal): As welded....180-200 HB. (no preheat, interpass temperature 100-150 °C.) Work hardened...44-48 HRC. (About 25 % degree of reduction.) Machinability: Grinding is normally applied. Overheating must be avoided. Redrying the electrodes: 200 °C, 2 h.
